A bout and winter...

Nothing quite says Winter like a little bout of Cold and Flu. This is where I am at the moment. My mind is saying, "life's great," and my body is saying, "yeah right!".

It isn't as bad as you may think and I am probably making more of it than I should but at the end of the day I will get over it. For those of you who have been lucky enough to experience sub-zero temperatures you will appreciate that winter in South Africa isn't all that bad. Saying that, winters in the UK aren't always that bad either. It is dark, damp, overcase, misty, rainy, grey, dull and maybe a little cold but if you can see through that, you will just love the UK. This is especially important if you want to live here and have come from a climate where the sun bakes the earth, the cicadas sing and the tyres on your car are almost melted by the hot tar. It goes without saying that I just love the British weather and I can hear you saying, "get that white jacket on him and ready the electrodes...clear..." Nothing beats waking up and looking out over a misty morning and feeling as though it is the middle of the night when in fact you are an hour late for work...that starts at 9am.
